Yesterday was really great, except for I was too busy enjoying it to take pictures! I'm mad at myself for that, but then again...not really. So the only one I have is of the guitar that Brianne's letting me borrow because mine is up in Idaho and I'm dying without one. My friends are the greatest.
Brianne and I went down to San Diego to check out the new Invisible Children office and say hi to old friends. I only knew two or three people that are still there, but the trip was for Brianne anyways. Their new office is...interesting. It's definitely cool; they have an atrium and the space that they were looking for, but there are a few things about the old office that will always be dear to me. I didn't even work there, but many fond memories were made in those walls.
Then we met up with our friend Randy and went to the Roadie house to invite people to go eat with us. (It was strange to see only 25, rather than 60 people living there.) Most everyone was too poor and so am I, but their monetary self-control was much stronger than mine. They decided to eat at home and just the three of us went.
I met a real French girl, and I told her, "bonjour!" but then was too embarrassed to speak more, for fear of getting the language wrong. So I told her, "Je faim," (I'm hungry) and we laughed. So much for FR101 last semester.
Randy and Brianne took me to one of their favorite places called Swami's, and I had no idea what to expect. Everything I ate was so good!
Then we went back to Randy's house to watch a movie and see his apartment. His roommates have decorated it so well! I really wanted to live there. We drove home at some unmentionable hour of the night, but we're good at talking to keep the other awake.
I've been doing ok lately without Kelsi and Brianne and Chris and all of them, but I can't go too long without seeing or talking to someone without getting sad and missing them too much. Yesterday was just a nice day because it reminded of what a life is like when you get to spend time with dear friends.
