Yesteray, Brianne and I went down to Balboa for the afternoon. We meant to hit up a film festival, but we didn't make the 3 PM showing because of reasons.
Instead, we decided that we should go on the merry-go-round outside the SD Zoo. We wandered around admiring the architecture. I didn't know that I was an "architecture" person but oh my gosh, it was stunning. I mean, I've been to Balboa before, but it stood out for some reason?
Later on, we met up with our friend Randy and ended up walking downtown to find something to eat. (Everywhere we wanted to go hadn't opened yet or was closed and it was 6 PM. What?)
We walked back to go to a stake bonfire at La Jolla, but it was canceled. Brianne had a giftcard for Pinkberry, so we went there instead. I had grapefruit. This frozen yogurt place gets me.
We talked about feelings and relationships that are ruining our lives. We laughed about how maybe actually we don't have any common sense, and about how I'm a really bad listener. She let me rip her copy of Babel by Mumford. We planned for our San Francisco trip coming up in a few weeks. I'm excited for everything.
Life is good.
