a. I knew nothing about Ronald Reagan besides "Reaganomics" from like sophomore year
b. There was a Disney exhibit and you know I am here for this
It was a really inspiring and touching day. Reagan came into an office where things were just horrible all around, and he gave the people hope. He admonished and encouraged the American people to have faith again, and to work hard for the betterment of the country.
Then there was a Disney "Treasures" exhibit of stuff from the archives, and I was so excited about that. They had a lot of notes and drawings - as well as little things like telegrams - from Walt's early life. I love that sort of behind the scenes and trivia stuff, so I was in heaven. My family was probably annoyed that I stopped to read every placard and make them wait, but I think they knew how much I was looking forward to this.
All in all, a great day with my family, learning more about two revolutionary men.
"I know in my heart that man is good. That what is right will always eventually triumph. And there's purpose and worth to each and every life."
